The development of vision in children is at its most intense during the first two or three years and is continued up to the age of twelve. Consequently, any obstacle to forming a clear image occurring at this age is bound to result in partial sightedness. The occurrence of strabismus at an early age has an extremely complex influence upon the development of the child's vision. It is therefore of outmost importance to detect a possible failure on time and provide treatment to ensure a normal vision development. The aim of this paper is to show methods of detecting strabismus, as well as propose the ways of its treatment.
