ADS: A Framework for Running 5G Radio Access Network in the Cloud

摘要
In this paper we present the Automatic Distribution System (ADS). ADS is a novel framework that enables quick development and deployment of 5G radio access networks. ADS automatically parallelize radio algorithms and distributes their execution among standard servers in order to fulfill their real-time constraints and minimize power consumption. ADS was at the operational heart of the first large-scale 5G field trial demonstration in the world. The field trial took place in Chengdu and showed a peak performance of 3.6 Gbps downlink throughput.
