Effects of Silane. modified Nano ZrO2 on the Corrosion Resistance of Epoxy Coating on the Surface of Mg-Li Alloy

摘要
The epoxy coatings containing ZrO2 nanoparticles modified with bis. [3-(triethoxysilyl) propyl] tetrasulfide(KH-69 silane) were prepared by coating method on the surface of Mg-Li alloy. The effect of concentration of KH. 69 silane. modified ZrO2 nanoparticles on the corrosion resistance of epoxy coatings was evaluated. The addition of KH. 69 silane. modified ZrO2 nanoparticles can considerably improve the corrosion resistance of the epoxy coating on the surface of Mg-Li alloys. Among them, the epoxy coating containing 1. 0% KH. 69 silane. modified ZrO2 nanoparticles exhibits the highest corrosion resistance. After 528 h of immersion in 3. 5% NaCl solution, its low frequency impendence valve is about 1. 6x10(9) Omega . cm(2), which exhibits an increase of about five order of magnitude as compared with the blank epoxy coating.
