Monitoring and Controlling System of Field Information Based on Zigbee and Internet Technology

摘要
In order to transfer field information for precision agriculture without complex wiring and efforts to maintain devices, a wireless sensor network system based on ZigBee and internet technology is developed and tested. This system is composed of ZigBee nodes and local and remote monitoring computers. By using the ZigBee-based wireless sensor networks within a small scale and mutual communication between two computers through the worldwide internet, this system implements advanced functions such as automatic data acquisition, wireless transmission and real-time controlling. Sensor and routing nodes are separated to ensure uniform and low energy consumption of each node. Results show that this system possesses stable performance and low costs. The error ratio of the whole system is approximately 3.5% when the distance among nodes reaches about 15m, which meets the requirement of precision agriculture.
