摘要
The Route 52 arch bridge over the Wallkill River in Walden, N.Y., used self-consolidating, high-performance concrete to increase the structure's durability. Adjacent prestressed concrete box beams with a composite deck slab provided the superstructure of the open-spandrel Route 52 arch bridge crossing over Wallkill River, about 50 miles (80 km) northwest of New York, N.Y. The new bridge replaces a structurally deficient 176-ft-long (53.6 m) steel-truss bridge built in 1934.
