CFD applied to process engineering - An introduction

It is of prime importance to work in multidisciplinary teams, combining the knowledge and talents of experts in fluid mechanics with those of process engineers, because process engineering is directly concerned with the applications of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). CFD has provided and can provide precious assistance to the fields of single-phase and multiphase systems. Its applications in the fields of micromixing with reaction, two-phase fluid systems and gas-solid systems are presented.
