Capacity Analysis and Waveform Design of A Non-orthogonal Waveform Superposition Scheme for High Reliable Communications

摘要
A non-orthogonal waveform superposition scheme for high reliable wireless communications is analyzed, and certain design rules for the scheme are discussed. The capacity of the scheme is superior than that of Nyquist signaling by use of waveform superposition and excess bandwidth. It's proved that the channel capacity can eventually reach the capacity of waveform channel, when the superposition multiplicity K is larger than the product of bandwidth W for shaping pulses and sampling period T-N for inter-symbol interference(ISI) free transmission. The optimal superposition multiplicity K would be WTN taking both the capacity and receiver complexity into account.
