摘要
The optimum values of average L-shell fluorescence yields W-L, for elements 23 less than or equal to Z less than or equal to 95 have been determined using seven sets of values of W-L evaluated from the available experimental/semi-empirical/theoretical data of various parameters needed for the determination of W-L. The values of W-L for the missing elements in various sets are generated with appropriate fits to the available values in each of the sets. For the determination of the optimum value of W-L for an element only those values from amongst different sets of W-L values are chosen which show less than the pre-defined percentage standard deviation from the mean of the chosen values. Further appropriate fits to these mean values generate the optimum values of W-L for elements 23 less than or equal to Z less than or equal to 95. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
