Experimental studies of the electrization currents for dielectric liquids in a cylindrical pipe

摘要
Experiments were performed on electrization of dielectric liquids during their laminar flow in cylindrical metal pipes. It was found that the ratio of theoretically calculated and experimental electrization currents is close to unity. The experimental data were used to evaluate the rate constant of electrochemical reaction of white spirit; this constant proved to be rather large. Therefore, the relaxation length for the electrization current depends only on the Debye number and the Peclet number but does not depend on the rate of the electrochemical reaction on the pipe wall.
