摘要
In this paper we discuss and analyze some innovative educational experiences within online environments. These experiences are related to computer supported collaborative and interdisciplinary learning using Web 2.0 tools and applications such as Google Wave or Google Apps. We designed a dynamic portal, Biowave, where students from different graduate programs work together to solve several homework activities. These activities require the participation of students from different fields of knowledge. After the academic activity, we complete a survey among online students and instructors to find out participants opinions regarding this experience. The Biowave project has effectively provided an innovative solution to the needs of interdisciplinary collaboration in virtual higher education. However, the proper design of the learning/teaching strategies and active role of the instructors contribute a great deal to the motivation of their students. These are two key factors to consider toward the success of the teaching-learning collaborative process
