On the theory of anisotropic light scattering in an atmosphere of finite optical depth

摘要
The general theory of anisotropic light scattering developed by Sobolev (1972) is used to derive a system of linear algebraic equations for the coefficients of the polynomials linking the auxiliary functions phi(i)(mu) and psi(i)(mu) with Chandrasekhar's functions X(mu) and Y(mu). The coefficients of the system of algebraic equations are expressed in terms of the moments of the functions X(mu)) and Y(mu). The phase function is assumed to be azimuth-independent.
