The theory of reflection of light from a semi-infinite atmosphere with anisotropic scattering

On the basis the general theory of anisotropic scattering of light developed by Sobolev, a system of linear algebraic equations is deduced for the coefficients of the polynomials relating the auxiliary function phi(j)(0)(mu) with the Chandrasekhar function H(mu). The coefficients of the system of linear algebraic equations are expressed in terms of the moments of the function H(mu). The phase function is assumed to be independent of azimuth.
