摘要
The modern territorial development theories are more often based on the idea that creativity is the driven force of socio-economic development. This whole concept was mostly popularized by Richard Florida. His ideas are often adapted in the Slovak Republic's conditions as well. The main purpose of this paper is to critically examine the original approach to quantification of the creativity of places Florida's 3T index - and its subsequent ability to manage the development in terms of the Slovak Republic's territories. Methods used to fulfill the purpose are historical-logical method, content-casual analysis, synthesis, scientific abstraction and more or less, methods of induction and deduction. In the paper we are processing secondary data from several Slovak statistical databases. The main results and contributions of our paper overlie in the the summary of the most important and relevant information about the creative places concept, identifying limits of the original 3T index, including its modification and quantification in terms of the Slovak Republic. Our findings can contribute to the expansion of theoretical and practical knowledge about the creative places concept in terms on Slovak Republic.
