摘要
According to the principle of multimode interference (MMI), a novel all-optical logic gate device based on a hybrid plasmonic waveguide on silicon-on-insulator chip has been designed theoretically by the FDTD simulations. Compared with the conventional devices, our device had much smaller size and mutifuctional performances. By switching the optical signal to different input waveguide ports, the device can implement the functions as OR, NOT, NAND, XOR and XNOR gates simultaneously or individually.
