摘要：
A monopole-like bowtie slot ultra wideband (UWB) antenna is proposed and designed for UWB applications. To increase the impedance bandwidth of ordinary monopole patch antenna modifications are made in the patch and ground plane geometry. The antenna is practically fabricated and measured. Simulated and measured results show a good agreement. The designed antenna offers compact size, operates across an ultra wideband (1.87-12.3 GHz), and exhibits good radiation characteristics.
