摘要
One of the major reasons resulting in the performance degradation of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is the poisoning of the cathode by gas-phase chromium (Cr6+) volatilized from alloy interconnects. The mechanism of chromium poisoning in SOFC cathode has not been clarified. Electrochemical mechanism states that Cr6+ has participated in the electrochemical reduction reaction of cathodic oxygen, and deposited at the interface of triple-phases boundary (TPB). Whereas chemical mechanism considers that nucleation effect results in the poisoning of SOFC cathode. Nucleating agent in the cathode is the determinant of Cr deposition. In this paper, the research process of chromium poisoning in SOFC cathodes in the recent ten years is reviewed, with a focus on the effects of the transport properties of the cathode and electrolyte materials.
