摘要
This paper is devoted to multiscale modeling of trabecular bone structure using numerical homogenization algorithm. Numerical model, based on the Finite Element Method (FEM), of heterogeneous, porous simplified structure of trabecular tissue was built. Next, a micro RVE model representing elementary component of macroscopic model was constructed. Material parameters of the considered structure were determined with use of numerical homogenization algorithm. Periodic boundary conditions were used. Calculated elastic parameters were assigned to the homogeneous macroscopic model with the same external dimensions as the heterogeneous model. The heterogeneous reference model and the two-scale model were compared by using compression test simulations. Displacements at macroscopic scale and the stresses at microscopic scale (bone trabeculas) after the localization procedure were compared. The multiscale calculations were evaluated.
