摘要：
This study is a research project currently being conducted by Dr. Charles R. McClure, Syracuse University and Dr. John Bertot of State University of New York at Albany. The purpose of the study is to describe the users of Pennsylvania public libraries, determine the uses of public library resources and services, and identify the resultant impacts of public library use. Some of the objectives of the study include: Understand how beneficial public library use is to Pennsylvania citizens. Identify the high-use, high-impact services, resources and programs of public libraries. Describe the role of public libraries in supporting local and statewide economic development. Overall, the study expects to provide evidence as to the range of impacts and benefits that result from public library services in the State of Pennsylvania.
