Localized superconducting to normal transition at the grain boundary for transport critical current in YBa2Cu3O7-δ

摘要
The local electrical response around the grain boundaries in 'bicrystals' cut out of large grain ceramics fabricated by a method close to the melt textured growth is discussed. Emphasis is on the local nature of the transition to the normal state at the boundary when the transport critical current is just exceeded. As an example, the case of small grain sized polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7-δ is considered.
