摘要
The problem of town planning represents a very complex activity regarding interdisciplinary interest for technical, economical and social development improvement, being able to provide accurate and efficient solutions in order to cover basic needs of land administrative information and decision-making for the local authorities. Town planning cadastre defines itself as a particular cadastre, part of the general one, which involves inventory and systematic evidence of the buildings, fields, networks and utilities inside towns. All these problems regard both technical and economical aspects. In order to automatise cadastral activity, the first important procedure is to collect all physical and graphical information about a certain territory, which will supply later on the database for town cadastre. Timisoara represents an example in the process of automatisation of land registration. The Town Hall of Timisoara is the first institution in Romania starting the GIS for urban purposes, at present, being the most advanced city in this domain. Updating this GIS implies a very complex project designed also for Cemeteries Cadastre, being able to keep the records of all entities and also to monitor their status, for an efficient local administration.
