摘要
Restaurant service in Malaysia receives high demand due to its big role to Malaysian society and economic growth. However, comprehensive studies to identify customer satisfaction determinants of meal experience in Malay family restaurant that dominated majority of restaurant service in Malaysia are still limited. Therefore, this qualitative study was conducted to identify determinants of customer satisfaction of meal experience at Malay family restaurant. Data were collected through in-depth interview with restaurant customers and restaurant staff, supplementary data from documentary evidence and close observation. The data were analyzed using coding process that assisted by NUDIST computer software. Finding of this study showed that the determinants influencing customer satisfaction in Malay family restaurants was advanced the comprehensive quantitative literature globally that just focus on food, service, staff, ambience, price and facility only.
