摘要
This article discusses fat-suppressed magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the investigation of optic nerve abnormalities in a 67-year-old man, fat-suppressed MRI demonstrated an enlarged subarachnoidal space along the entire length of the left optic nerve, leading to a diagnosis of normotensive glaucoma with left optic nerve atrophy. features that cannot he shown reliably with conventional MRI may he revealed with fat-suppressed MRI; therefore, it should he performed in cases of undefined retrobulbar pathology.
