摘要
The reason that led us to assess the potential impact of QT dispersion on a prevention strategy comes from our bibliographic investigation that confirmed the urgency to unequivocally explore the role of spatial QT dispersion. We assessed 30 athletes between 22 and 42 years of age who practiced different sporting disciplines to verify the average QTd values. The results confirmed what we imagined, i.e. the benign nature of the so-called athlete's heart, and tie possibility to be able to identify the presence of organ damage in the hypertensive population through QTd calculation. This data proved interesting in identifying the infarction site and the presence of a reduced electrical stability of the myocardium. The QTd enables us to assess the electrical stability of the myocardium with reference to arrhythmias and represents a fast low-cost method which is easy to apply.
