摘要：

New records of the alien species Pagrus major and Upeneus pori are reported from east Mediterranean Sea. The current record of P. major is the first from the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The record of U. pori is the northernmost in Mediterranean. Morphological comparisons between P. major and P. pagrus were made, clarifying the main differences. These findings present strong evidence that even the northern parts of the Aegean Sea are affected by non-indigenous species and highlight the necessity to strengthen collaborations with stakeholders like fishermen.
