摘要
Current schizophrenia research has led to the detection of vulnerability markers in individuals at risk for developing the disorder. This vulnerability, knowned as schizotypy can be identified in clinically non-affected subjects. This study aims to verify whether the schizotypal dimensions which correspond to positive and negative symptoms and thought disorder characteristic of schizophrenia, predict in isolated manner or jointly, the occurrence of psychopathological symptoms and affect self-concept. The results support the prediction of the schizotypal factors on psychological distress and self-concept. The combination of the three schizotypal dimensions predicts essentially schizophrenia spectrum symptoms. Paradoxically, the effect of cognitive-perceptual component on self-concept is positive.
