Cavitation of rubber particles in high-impact polystyrene

摘要
The cavitation of rubber particles in high impact polystyrenes (HIP) was studied. Cavitation was found to occur in salami-type rubber particles and crazing was not necessary for void formation within the particles. The results implied that matrix crazing and rubber particle cavitation were two independent deformation mechanisms.
