Influences of Moisture Content on Surface Partial Discharge Behaviors of Oil-impregnated Paper Insulation under Pulsating DC Voltage

摘要
The oil-paper insulation in converter transformers is subjected to pulsating DC voltage, mainly consisting of AC and DC voltages. Surface partial discharges (PDs) occurred in converter transformer is significantly influenced by voltage type as well as moisture content in oil-impregnated paper insulation. The influence of moisture content on surface PD behaviors of oil-impregnated paper insulation is investigated at pulsating DC voltage in this work. Various changes of PD phase-resolved distributions, PD inception voltages and statistical feature parameters of PD at a range of moisture content will be presented. Experimental results make it clear that the moisture content shows a significant effect on the surface discharge behaviors of oil-impregnated paper insulation at pulsating DC voltage.
