摘要
In this present paper, an microstrip patch antenna with square split ring resonators is scheduled for the ISM based applications covering all spheres of industrial, scientific including scopes of medical. It is as observed metamaterial antenna loaded with SSRR produces a gain of 9.195 dBi at 2.46 GHz, bandwidth of 100 MHz which is beyond that of conventional antenna. With correspondence to this, size of a metamaterial antenna is reduced by 11.90% as correlated to that of conventional antenna. Here the authors have used Rogers RT Duroid 5870 substrate with epsilon value of 2.33 where we have observed that metamaterial antenna exhibits omni-directional pattern in the E-Plane & bi-directional pattern in the H-Plane, that indicating good radiation pattern. In order to obtain best parametric optimizations, genetic algorithms or GA is used out for consecutive times. In last part, comparative analysis of various parameters and comparison with the existing prototypes has been shown, witnessesing the major importance of metamaterials in the prospectives of antenna design engineering.
