摘要
This article proposed a dual-core microstructure optical sensor based on Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF) for measuring the temperature and salinity sensitivity. The smallest hole is injected with seawater as an analyze core which is sensitive to temperature and concentration of seawater. Simulation is done using the Finite Element Method (FEM) that shows comparatively highly sensitive records. For various concentration levels, the maximum salinity sensitivity in the refractive index is 11111.11 nm/RIU and maximum salinity sensitivity in percentage is 2000 pm/%. Varying the temperature the maximum temperature sensitivity in the refractive index is found as 20000 nm/RIU and the maximum temperature sensitivity in degree Celsius is found at 1000 pm/degrees C. For obtaining a better result, the concentration is varying from 0% to 70% when the refractive indices are 1.3176-1.3302 RIU and the temperature is varying from 0 degrees C to 60 degrees C when the refractive indices are 1.3288-1.3209 RIU. The outcomes indicate the proposed sensor as a strong candidate in the field of optical sensing.
