Simulation on application of dividing wall column in aniline distillation

摘要
In this paper, application of DWC with side rectifier (DWC-SR) to aniline distillation was studied. Simulation using Aspen plus software was done to compare the traditional two tower process with new process based on DWC-SR. The results show that, the two processes has no obvious difference on energy cost, which is also decided by the characteristics of DWC-SR, but capital investment and space saving can be gained for DWC-SR process. In addition, only an reboiler is need in DWC-SR process, so residence time of aniline, nitrobenzene, etc inside high temperature region can be reduced, so can avoid heat decomposition of these thermosensitive substances to a great extent.
