International cooperation and academic exchanges EU-Algeria: Case of the University of Bejaia

University international cooperation that supports North-South cooperation in the overall nations, particularly developed and intensified since the 2000s with North Africa, including Algeria, with the introduction / spread of the LMD system since 2003.In the wake of the Algerian-French and Algerian-European cooperation, Abderrahman Mira University of Bejaia (UAMB), member of various international networks of academic exchange, is distinguished by the high academic cooperation with the EU through various programs : Averroes, Erasmus Mundus (Erasmus +), Green IT, Batuta, Tempus, CMEP ... The UAMB presents itself as a real portal open to the world, following his many collaborations, cooperation and mobility in different areas of higher education and scientific research. These links are formalized by several partnership agreements with many countries bilateral projects. These projects have resulted in mobilities of scholarship opportunities for students, teachers and technical, administrative and support as well as installation of several joint projects. Our reflection, after a brief on international cooperation and the role of the university in socio-economic development, will focus on the presentation and evaluation of the various cooperation programs and inter-university exchanges between Algeria and EU, illustrating the case of the University of Bejaia, very involved in various projects and programs of cooperation and inter-university mobility. Departmental statistics and the various University on exchanges and mobility underpin and evaluate international academic cooperation EU-Algeria, particularly the UAM-Bejaia. Intensifying this cooperation benefits all partners, adapting to regional and global context.
