摘要
A simple, rapid and sensitive colorimetric method for the determination of benomyl (a fungicide) has been developed. The method is based on its reaction with copper(II) in the presence of triethylamine to form yellowish green coloured complex and measuring its absorbance at 360 nm. The colour which develops instantaneously on mixing the fungicide with the reagents is stable for at least 1h. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of above fungicide in its commercial formulation. A photometric titration method for the analysis of above formulation has also been developed.
