Blood Pressure Measurements using Non-contact Video Imaging Techniques

摘要
Health is always used to describe a person's conditions. To stay healthy, regular in monitoring physiological parameters are unavoidable. In this study, non-contact video imaging techniques are proposed for blood pressure measurements whereas commercial oscillometric device is used for results verifications. Besides, the proposed techniques also able to obtain the pulse rate simultaneously. From the results, it shows the mean absolute error and standard deviation for systolic and diastolic blood pressure is 4.22 +/- 3.15mmHg and 3.24 +/- 2.21mmHg respectively. On the other hand, pulse rate measurements also achieved a good agreement with the oscillometric device. These results are fulfilled the requirements of American National Standard which is 5 +/- L8mmHg for blood pressure and +/- 5bpm or 10% allowable readout error for pulse rate measurements. As a conclusion, the developed non-contact techniques are suitable to continuously and regularly monitor blood pressure and pulse rate simultaneously without a break between the measurements like the standard cuff-based devices.
