摘要
Antennas are an integral part of wireless communication. With the advances in wireless communication and a wider range of applications utilizing wireless technology, antenna selection and design are more important than ever. The usage of wearable textile materials for developing micro strip antenna segment has risen rapidly. A wearable antenna is a part of the clothing itself and has immense utilization in a wide array of fields such as the Internet of Technology (IoT). In this paper, half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) based semi-circular antennas are presented to operate at IoT frequency band. The HMSIW antenna has been devised at 5.8 GHz of center frequency. The gain comes up to 6.02 dBi. The semi-circular rim of the antenna is indented with metallic vias. This makes it a perfect electrical conductor (PEC) wall. There are no vias on the other side of the semicircular antenna thus making it a perfect magnetic conductor (PMC) wall.
