Room temperature charge storage ability and magnetoelectric coupling of flexible polymer nanocomposite films

摘要
We have fabricated flexible films of bismuth ferrite (BFO), terbium manganate (TMO) nanofiller incorporated polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) composite to achieve improved energy storage capacity at room temperature. A systematic observation on capacitance-bias voltage (C-V), ferroelectric and magneto-dielectric properties are done to evaluate the impact of the nanofillers in PVA matrix. BFO-PVA films show enhanced dielectric properties whereas decrement is noticed in TMO-PVA films. Mott-Schottky analysis is used here to understand the dielectric behaviour vividly. The Maxwell-Wagner-Sillars (MWS) type interfacial space charge polarisation causes the electrical polarisation hysteresis loops. The dielectric constant gradually decreases with increasing applied magnetic field. It indicates the negative magneto-dielectric effect of the films. The enhancement in the magneto-dielectric sensitivity is observed in all the composite films than that of pristine PVA.
