Controllable synthesis of self-doped truncated bipyramidal Bi2O2CO3 with high visible light photocatalytic activity

摘要
Self-doped truncated bipyramidal Bi2O2CO3 was synthesized for the first time. The structural and optical properties of the as-prepared samples were investigated systematically. The results indicated that the amount of the doped Bi5+, morphology and band gap of the Bi2O2CO3 could be controlled easily by adjusting the amount of NaHCO3. All the samples synthesized by this facile method exhibited obvious absorption in the visible light region. The sample obtained with the molar ratio 8 of NaHCO3 to NaBiO3 center dot 2H(2)O showed the highest photocatalytic activity for degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation.
