A polemic is given concerning the thermodynamic dissolution properties in the published paper by Li and co-workers IJ. Mol. Liq. 275 (2019) 815-8281 The published numerical values do not obey the standard thermodynamic relationship given by Delta(diss)G = Delta H-diss - T Delta S-diss, where Delta(diss)G, Delta H-diss and Delta S-diss refer to the Gibbs energy, enthalpy and entropy of dissolution.
