A Modified Approach for Recognition and Eradication of Extenuation of Gray-Hole Attack in MANET using AODV Routing Protocol

摘要
Mobile ad hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes deployed with temporary intentions. Every Mobile node is capable for automatically configure network and creation of link with neighbor node for establishment of communication. Routing protocols are used to discover proper route from source to destination and provide support for establishment of communication. AODV routing protocol is a reactive protocol used to detect route as per demand. The complete study observe the AODV is good solution for communication in wireless environment but vulnerable for various security threats. Security threats not only attempt to compromise the privacy of communication but also degrade the network performance. Gray-hole is one of the severe security threats who partially drop packets and degrade the network performance the complete work observe the need of security solution and developed a detection and prevention technique to avoid gray-hole attack and maintain network performance. The complete work is simulated in NS2 simulator and observed on basis of PDR, E2E delay, throughput.
