摘要
This paper presents one-dimensional air sparging column experiments performed using a uniformly-graded Ottawa sand to determine the synergistic effects of multiple contaminants on air sparging removal efficiency. The experimental program included conducting tests with benzene as the only contaminant, toluene as the only contaminant, benzene and toluene together, and gasoline. It was found that benzene and toluene existing alone had similar removal rates; however, they were removed faster when they existed together. This trend was also observed in the test using gasoline as the contaminant.
