An Examination of College English Administration

Based on the definition of College English Administration, this paper explores the relevant existiong problems and their countermeasures, with the hope that it facilitates the reform of College English Teaching. In the spring of 2004, the Ministry of Education organized experts to establish "Requirements of College English Curriculum (trial)" to enhance the guidance and direction of college English teaching which opened a prelude of college English teaching reform. In the aspect of English teaching concepts and teaching practice, we prefer to explore a variety of teaching methods, teaching model etc for a long time. But we rarely thought about even neglected the relationship between the effective management and the teaching of college English, not to mention the use of scientific management theory and practice to guide and promote college English teaching. It has become a hot topic of English teaching that how to explore effective management of college English teaching to promote English teaching reform and development and constantly improve the level and teaching quality of college English teaching.
