摘要
More and more usage of sensitive and customized power loads such as power electronics devices and inverters/converters causes more distortions in terms of Power Quality (PQ) issues into the system. Also the continuous use of FACTS devices such as STATCOM, DVR and SVC play an important role in mitigating PQ issues to some extent. PQ issues such as transients, flickers, harmonics, voltage sag and swell are the main considerations in this review exclusively for wind energy system. If power quality issues are not taken care positively then it will lead into malfunctioning and damage of the equipments.
