摘要
This paper is part of a doctoral dissertation about the meanings attributed to Youth and Adult Education schools by its students and it aims to present some curriculum conceptions outlined by the respondents. For data collection was utilized a questionnaire with closed and open questions responded by 9th, 10th and 1 lth grades of Youth and Adult Education at a State High School in Porto Alegre/RS. In this article was analyzed the responses of 144 young subjects enrolled. As theoretical references were utilized Oliveira (2009), Dayrell (2011), Arroyo (2017), Carrano (2007), among others who refers to the meanings of the school and its curriculum for the youth. As results, the young subjects expressed their ideas and curriculum conceptions: a) a curriculum towards work that provides knowledge to obtain jobs or even better positions; b) a curriculum of propaedeutic reasons that helps to prepare for further studies, as a reason to return to school, technical courses or graduation; c) a curriculum towards citizenship duties that guarantees more knowledge about their rights and duties as citizens, in order to expand their future trajectory choices.
