摘要：
The paper presents an analysis, how likely the prospective graduates of a new software engineering program would meet the market demand. It addresses the respective issues in two ways: first, by presenting and analyzing statistical data on employment of computer software engineers nationwide, as well as in the State of Florida and in Southwest Florida's three Metropolitan Statistical Areas, and second, by presenting data from interviews with CEO's and CTO's of over twenty local high-tech companies in Southwest Florida, which employ software engineers.
