Outage probability with imperfect forward-link power control in CDMA systems

摘要
Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology has been shown to offer significant improvement in the multiple access capacity of a digital cellular system. However, this capacity improvement is assured only when adequate power control is performed. In the conventional IS-95 CDMA system, the base station controls the transmit power based on the forward link quality. But, the base station transmit power is limited by a certain dynamic range.(e.g. P-0+/-6dB) In this paper, we analyze the outage probability under imperfect forward link power control in the CDMA systems.
