Flotation-spectrophotometric determination of silver

摘要
A flotation-spectrophotometric method for determination of silver was developed. The method is based on the decomposition of [Fe(CN)(6)](4-) under the action of silver ions followed by the interaction of the [Ag(CN)(2)](-) anionic complex with Crystal Violet (CV). It was found that CV[Ag(CN)(2)] and CV4[Fe(CN)(6)] associates interact to form a complex associate CV[Ag(CN)(2)]. 3CV(4)[Fe(CN)(6)] with Ag : CV = 1 : 13. The molar absorptivity of the associate is 1.4 x 10(-6). A procedure for determining silver in the AgGaS-AgGaSe semiconductor in the process of crystal growth was developed. The determination error is no more than 5%.
