摘要
This paper starts by assuming that valid XML data are the best way to exchange information and then proposes an algorithm that maps XML data to the object relational model and converts the results of an SQL query into an. XML data. Two basic types of query operations are supported: structure preserving and flattened. We implement our mapping algorithm on our ORDBMS (LiteObject) and compare it to XML-DBMS based OODBMS in terms of performance and database size. The results prove that our ORDBMS can process faster than the XML-DBMS and proposed algorithm enhances thc efficiency of our ORDBMS.
