Simulation on Microwave Multimode Cavity Heating with a Rotating Metal Block

摘要
Microwave heating is well known for its efficiency and instantaneity. However, the non-uniformity of the microwave heating limits the industry application. In order to overcome this problem, a metal block placed on the turntable is proposed. During the heating process, the location of metal block changes along with the rotation of turntable. Therefore the electromagnetic field inside the microwave oven is regulated continuously and periodically. The FEM Multiphysics software COMSOL is employed to predict the heating process with a rotating metal block. The results indicate that both the heating uniformity and efficiency improved.
