摘要
Based on the section factor and sectional unfold, this study develops a bench scale fire resistive test for sprayed fire resistive material of steel structural members. H shape steel beams are converted into the size of 45 cm x 45 cm steel plates with varying thicknesses. Steel beams and plates are coated by sprayed fire resistive materials and manufactured to fire test specimens. In addition, the relationship among fire rating (R), spraying thickness (t), and section factor (W/D) of the two scale fire tests are established and compared by applying a standard time-temperature curve under CNS 12514 specification and using a one dimensional heated model for plate specimen and a three dimensional heated model for the beam specimen to proceed with the fire resistive test. Experimental results indicate that, in terms of its practical nature and safety, adopting 350 degrees C as the critical temperature facilitates the evaluation of sprayed materials for fire protection of structural steel members, particularly when using test specimens of bench scale steel plates.
