摘要
Femtocell has been considered by the wireless networking industry as an emerging technology to extend indoor service coverage and enhance overall network performance. It has attracted many research institutes and corporations. However due to this technology being inexperienced, it is not easy for researchers to follow the trend of femtocell development. Therefore, in order to promote the femtocell development and help researchers to follow the hot topics, in this article, it will be described in terms of newly research topics regarding cross-tier wireless networks (Femtocell-Macrocell), such as backhaul, user mobility, fairness, cognitive and green femtocells. Finally, we proposed the future prospect of femtocell development and research topics.
