A global information system in the field of non-destructive evaluation (NDE)

摘要
The information revolution has arrived. The NDE community around the world should rush to take advantage of this revolution because the safety and operational efficiency of every engineering system depends on the involvement of NDE which is now also evolving into an essential component of every process and structure that is monitored continuously. Global information system and the Internet must access information on NDE in different parts of this shrinking world. This is nor enough. It has to be summarized, synthesized, stored, indexed, evaluated, and analyzed and disseminated quickly and efficiently. How should the global NDE community provide this service with authority, authenticity, clarity and precision? The keynote will present the vision and address the challenges in making this dream come true.
